id you start reading this because you saw the BIG letter D at the beginning of this sentence?

Yes? - It turns out that on average, that capital letter will increase readership by up to 13%. That’s really good because you only have about 4-5 seconds before your reader moves on to the next webpage or auction!

That capital letter is called a dropcap … and I just made a video showing you how to make one yourself using a FREE image processing software tool by Serif Software Called PhotoPlus 6.0.

You can see the video here ==> http://www.hotitemfinder.com/videos/caps
ALSO … this morning I decided to make a complete set of drop cap images for YOU! I made all the capital letters and numbers in New Times Roman font with a nice drop shadow, slight bevel and large black font.

You can download the dropcap images here ==> complete zip file here
I also included the template photoshop file called template.psd so you can see the options I did in the layers section.

Go ahead and watch the video, then use the drop cap images I made for you in your auction descriptions or web sites … and as a result, let’s hope your sales start to increase!

Thanks for reading my blog and have a wonderful day :o)

A few days ago, I posted an article in this blog explaining how you can collect high quality leads from eBay and earn commissions by referring your new leads to an ebook product … I recommend to read that article before this one :o)

————————————————————
Part 2 - Another method to obtain leads from eBay
————————————————————

Let’s jump right in …

There is a way you can integrate an opt-in form into your eBay about me page as well as your auction descriptions.

What I mean is … you can collect your auction visitor’s name’s and email’s into a mailing list!

Ya … seriously!

This has got to be one of the easiest ways to obtain subscribers into your list.

More importantly … increase your commission sales!

First, you need to have an autoresponder account.

I use Aweber.com, they are cheap and one of the best services online.

PLUS, they are whitelisted with all the major email providers, such as hotmail, yahoo and aol.

They have one of the highest open rates for emails I have ever seen! I have been using them for about 4 years with absolutely NO problems … A++ from me :o)

Plus, you can join for 30 days at no cost to test it out … if you don’t get any leads from using my methods, simply cancel.

Moving on …

Next you want to place an opt-in form that collects your auction visitor’s name and email in your about me page as well as your auction descriptions.

BUT BUT BUT - THIS IS IMPORTANT!

You must stay within eBay’s listing policies or your auctions will be taken down!

So how do we do this? Simple

Use fancy wording in your opt-in box as follows:

“We’d like to send you free updates by email about the _________(s)
we have for auction. Please submit your name and email and click submit”

or

“In order to let you know about other eBay special offers similar to this
one we’ll need your name and email address”

or

“Want an email with the full details of our payment and shipping options?
Fill out the below form.”

After you do that, you need to add your autoresponder messages.

These are the messages your new subscribers will get when they signup.

Now here’s the next little trick:

Similar to the method from the previous email, you take content from the ebook you are promoting and make several small articles.

Then put those articles into several autoresponder sequences and simply add your affiliate link to each email.

When I say affiliate link, I mean YOUR ClickBank affiliate link that directs the reader to the ebook product you are promoting.

Remember the sole purchase if to collect subscribers and make commissions, so you MUST use your ClickBank affiliate link to get paid!

So let’s recap…

Part 1

1. Signup for a ClickBank account
2. Find a product in the ClickBank account you would be interested in promoting
3. Purchase or request a review copy of the ebook from the owner
4. Use part of the ebook content to build a small report
5. Place your affiliate link that points to the original ebook sales page into your report

Part 2

1. Signup for Aweber.com
2. Setup your account
3. Add an optin form to your about me page and auction description
4. Use the ebook content to make several autoresponder messages
5. Place your affiliate link in all your messages
6. List your report on eBay

and … start building a mailing list and make sales promoting the ebook product!

Plus, the autoresponder works on auto-pilot! Cool hey?

So know that I told you what to do …

“WANT me to show you exactly how to do all of that?”

Yes?

Well … I have to confess first. The ideas presented in this part 2 are taken from an ebook!

Yes … just like I talked about. The ebook is called Auction Traffic Cash written by Jim Cockrum.

AND, he shows you exactly step-by-step with nice pictures on how to setup your Aweber.com account and place those opt-in forms into your auction listings.

Plus, he shows you how to setup an autoresponder message that promotes a clickbank product … ya no joke!

Before you go running off to his website I want to make an offer …

If you decide to purchase Jim’s Auction Traffic Cash … that shows me you WANT to MAKE moolah on eBay.

Therefore, If you send me your clickbank receipt code for Jim’s ebook, I will send you 5 HIGHLY potential ClickBank products that I found in the ClickBank Marketplace that you can start promoting.

Plus, I will give you access to a video showing you how to signup for a f.ree clickbank account.

AND a set of videos showing you how to cloak your ClickBank affiliate links so nobody can steal your commissions!

I will send you ALL of that, if you purchase Jim Cockrum’s Auction Traffic Cash from this link:

==> http://www.hotitemfinder.com/recommends/auctiontraffic

Yup that’s my affiliate link :o)

I feel that I must earn my commission sales … so that is another reason why I prepared the extra information for you.

Again, if you order through my affiliate link and send me your receipt code, I will send you:

- 5 HIGHLY potential ClickBank products that I found in the ClickBank Marketplace that you can start promoting on eBay

- A video showing you how to signup for a free clickbank account

- Several videos showing you how to cloak your ClickBank affiliate links to prevent commission theft

So take action and show me that you WANT to make moolah!

Have you ever wondered why you see those $0.99 products selling on eBay?

If you think about it … they probably only sell about 10 to 20 per week!

I don’t know about you, but 10 to 20 bucks a weeks is not very good! especially after eBay subtracts the listing fees.

Unless they are selling MASS amounts!

So why do people do that?

It’s actually quite simple - Lead Generation

One of the best ways to run an online business is to build your own newsletter about a niche or topic that you are familiar with, build your list and then find products and services that your subscribers want.

BUT … make sure you do your research and ONLY recommend stuff that you KNOW works.

So, today I want to talk about how you can use eBay to start building your newsletter list … or lead generation list.

Are you ready … check this out:

First you find a topic that you would be interested in promoting or writing about.

Then go to http://marketplace.clickbank.net and find an informational product (ebook) related to that topic.

Use ClickBank’s handy little search feature … they just integrated that recently, I love it :o)

Then you either purchase the product or request a review copy from the product owner … just tell them that you are building a newsletter that is promoting their product … most product owners will agree to that.

Now here’s the cool part …

You copy a few paragraphs from the ebook (with the owners permission of course) and make a small report. Preferably in .pdf or .doc format.

Then list that small report on eBay for $0.77 or something like that … enough to cover your listing fees.

And when someone purchases your report, you can capture them into a list.

Now here is where you make the cash :o)

First - You place a small paragraph at the bottom of the report included with your affiliate link. Something like this:

“This report is part of the incredibly informative ebook named {product name here} and if you are interested in more information … go here: {Your affiliate link}”

Ok, that’s not the best … but you get the idea.

Second - You also send out occasional emails to your list about the ebook explaining the benefits of the product and how they can use the product to benefit from it.

This whole idea is one way affiliate marketers work online … it takes a little more work, but you will generate interested subscribers in the very topic you
are promoting.

I hope this little article will help you out or maybe get those creative juices fired up!

Just to let you know, I am working on a small 2 part mini-video course explaining how to find what buyers want outside and inside of eBay.

Stay tuned and stay healthy :o)

There are very few people on the internet that haven’t heard about eBay. This massive online auction site has grown to enormous proportions since it was launched around 10 years ago. Now, it provides an opportunity for millions of people around the globe to buy and sell goods on the internet…and you don’t even need a website! As a result, hundreds of thousands of users rely on eBay as thier primary source of income.

… but for every successful eBayer, there are at least two others who didn’t make it.

Why?

There are several reasons why, But in this article I’m going to talk about one MAJOR reason:

=> Poor titles with no highly targeted keywords

One POWERFUL way to overcome this obstacle, is to utilize highly targeted keywords in your aution titles and desctiptions…

More importantly in the titles, let me explain why:

It’s estimated that over 90% of users that search eBay don’t use the “in titles and descriptions” search option. i.e., they only search the auction titles.

What does this mean?

This means that you don’t need to spend hours and hours of your time trying to integrate highly targeted keywords into your auction descriptions…focus more on your auction titles!

Now,

“where to find these highly targeted keywords and which ones should you use?”
Go to the eBay Pulse page and browse through the top popular searches here: eBay PulseNext, browse to the category where your auction is listed using the Category drop-down box.

Find several popular search terms that you can easily integrate into your auction title, say 10 keywords.

Next, you can easily get an idea of how valuable these keywords are by using the Overture “Keyword Selector Tool”.

This tool spits out an estimated number of times a certain keyword was searched in all the major search engines for the past month.

Although it is commonly known that these results are somewhat “skewed” from the real values…but nonetheless, it provides a way to determine which keywords in your titles will be searched to most.

Of course, the results produced from Overture’s tool is not the results from eBay, but you can generally assume that people search for the same terms on eBay as they do in search engines…on average.

That being said, go ahead and plug in your keywords that you selected from eBay Pulse into the keyword selector tool and find out which ones produce the highest number of searches.

Finally, strategically integrate those keywords into your auction titles to drive highly targeted traffic to your auctions.

So before I finish…here’s an example:

Say I am selling Samsung cell phones in the ‘Cell Phones’ eBay category,

1. Go to eBay Pulse, and select “Cell Phones” from the category drop-down box. Here are the results as of June 18, 2005:

1. nokia
2. motorola
3. nextel
4. sprint
5. verizon
6. cingular
7. cell phones
8. samsung
9. cell phone
10. lg

2. Next, enter each popular search term into the “Keyword Selector Tool” and copy the top 5 search phrase results for each of the keywords:

1. nokia

365950 nokia
182216 nokia cell phone
164631 nokia phone
108818 nokia ringtone
55006 free nokia ringtone

2. motorola

335969 motorola cell phone
283100 motorola
39280 motorola ringtone
33620 motorola phone
23827 free motorola ringtone

ect…

Finally, take all the highly targeted keywords and keyword phrases and integrate them into the auction titles:

ex: “Best cell phone, New Samsung models with ringtones”

Be creative, different and remember, don’t spam your titles with unrelated keywords…eBay doesn’t like that!

That’s all for today,

-Dave Guindon
